Well everyone, today is my birthday and as my husband generously informed me, I am now closer to 50 than I am to 40 - thank you for that wonderful birthday wish dear! Actually, I think being in my 40's is a great time in my life - our 2 kids are will younger (both under the age of 6) and we both find that we make the time to spend with our children doing art projects, playing with them, teaching them and so much more. They are such a spark in our lives and believe me, it took 12 years and 9 miscarriages before we were able to welcome our daughter and then exactly 2 years after that our son arrived. Who could ask for more - a boy and a girl and to make it even better our daughter was born on Mother's Day and our son arrived on Father's Day - let me say it will be impossible to try and top those presents! Although our daughter announced yesterday that she knows what she wants for Mom's birthday - she wants another little brother or sister! Ummmmm, how about a new dolly instead?!! The most I am bargaining for will be a goldfish, trust me! So all of you who still have young kids, do me a favor and give them a little extra love today, just to help celebrate my birthday!
