School Work takes on a new meaning!

So I get an email this morning from Paula at The Craft Gallery in Findlay, Ohio asking if I could design a beginner level for a local elementary school as she promised last May to go in and teach approximately 60 students from Grade 4 through Grade 6 how to cross stitch! Of course I said that I would and since their school logo is a paw print I thought that would be the smartest thing to do - should have something done for her on Monday and what a cool teaching thing to participate in so I will post a picture once I do it - stay tuned!!!

I am currently working on a new series called "Switchits" which will feature 3 different designs on each chart and each of the designs are split into 4 pieces...sound a little confusing? I will try and post a picture of one this week so you get a better idea! Check out my website and you can see some freebies I have available as well so thank you Nataly for mentioning me in your blog so that I can introduce my designs to new people - any other mentions from stitches would be so welcome!

Well that the news for Saturday - more updates to come and all comments are welcome!

My daughter was a racoon in her school's play for "Red Riding Hood" - she had a great time and it was her first acting experience and I do believe she may have been bitten by the acting bug!

WOW! I cannot believe it has been so long since I originally created this BLOGSPOT and never got around to actually doing anything with it. Now that I have a little more time to dedicate to designing new cross stitch patterns and have a year of tremendous exposure and advertising in 2012, I better get into action and be diligent about updates and information! Every now and again I will post a new freebie pattern to my website, so check that and I would just love to hear comments from fellow stitchers about any of my Pickle Barrel Designs charts that you have liked or stitched - pictures of your stitched work are always welcome and please let me know if you send me a photo, am I allowed to post it on my Blogspot?

I just released a new KIT called "LOVE LETTER" which is a darling Valentine's Day design and includes the chart and full skeins of Sullivans Threads with it for only $12.00. If you don't have a local craft store, and aren't sure where you can get it, please feel free to contact Paula at The Craft Gallery in Findlay, Ohio - she does all of my framing and to say she is talented and great to work with would be an understatement!

I also just joined TWITTER so I can tweet to my hearts content - now all I have to do is enlist some followers to actually read what I write and twete - OH MY!!!

Happy Stitching! Nancy
