Chart Survey - Color or Black & White?

After receiving an email from a stitcher who posed an interesting question for me which I will share with you - do you prefer to have your cross stitch charts in color or black & white?

It's actually a pretty valid question - chime in with your comment/preference on what is easier for you to read when stitching a design.

Everyone who leaves a comment will be entered to win one of my new summer designs so pass along my blog to everyone you know who loves to cross stitch.  Also check out my last post about buying threads and weigh in there as well!

Thanks and happy stitching!

PS. I have absolutely no corresponding picture to post here so I will select something totally random!!!

Color is easier to read although black and white makes it easier to make a working copy. I guess I prefer black and white for simpler patterns and color if the pattern has lots of color changes. Interesting question and thank you for the give-a-way!

Black and white - I can't see my highlighting on a colored chart, and it's hard for me tell which color I should use if there are different shades of a color, or different colors that look the same to me, like peach and pink.

I agree with Claudette - definitely black and white for the same reasons. Love your random picture!

I also prefer black and white charts for the same reasons mentioned already.

I prefer black in white charts because they are easier to read and you can use them as a working copy. With colour ones, they can be kind of confusing if there are many different colours and you can't see the highlighted areas that easily.
Pretty much the same reasons as mentioned XD
Though some coloured patterns are beautiful to use, like the one I won off you a while ago which was amazing XD

Black and white charts definitely! Colour ones always seem harder to stitch from and I have lost count of the times that I haven't printed them off properly because of one of the ink colours running out!

I know I am late...but I prefer black and white charts with lots of DIFFERENT symbols. So many designers use similar ones and it can be a bit confusing; if you know what I mean!
